In this section on In A Fashion Mood, I share a round up of beauty brands and items that I am absolutely in love with. Leave me a comment below and share your thoughts on the products I mention. I hope you give some of these a try!
Chanel Coco Mademoiselle Perfume : It’s always so hard to describe a scent because no words can really bring it to life. If you haven’t experienced this perfume in person, I highly suggest that you go to you nearest makeup counter asap! It has a light and sexy scent that reminds me of a mix of citrus and flowers. Typically, you’re supposed to use an expensive perfume like this sparingly, but I just can’t resist. I spray this at least twice a day, sometimes even before bed. I’m extra, I know!
MAC Cosmetics Mineralize Skinfinish Global Glow : The MAC Mineralize Skinfinish collection is a staple in the beauty community for a reason. The formula is so blendable and never looks cakey. The worst thing a highlight powder can do is bring unwanted attention to the large pores and texture on your face. After you’ve applied a light layer of foundation, use this right on top of your cheekbones, center of the forehead and nose for a naturally dewy effect. The shade Global Glow is a pinky/silver highlighter, but Gold Deposit and Cheeky Bronze are also beautiful color choices from this line.
Sephora Collection Pro Contour Brush : I was all into the “baking” makeup trend this year and just recently realized that it was making my highlight pop way too much, so I stopped. Instead, I’ve been lightly dusting my undereye concealer with this brush and my Nars Translucent powder. The technique leaves my skin super smooth and I owe it all to this brush. It’s called the Pro Contour Brush but its really multipurpose. I also use it for powder contour and highlight.
Anastasia Beverley Hills Liquid Lipstick in Ashton : When I saw this lip color on Instagram when it was first released, I was immediately in LOVE. I rarely ever stan over a lipstick before trying it on but there’s just something about this shade that grabbed my attention. Luckily, I wasn’t disappointed when I purchased it from Sephora. The shade is a warm medium brown with a peachy undertone and I swear it looks amazing on everyone. You can see me wearing it in my previous fashion post, here. The formula dries quickly, and the more you layer the color the darker and more intense it appears.
