DESIGNER ON A BUDGET

DESIGNER ON A BUDGET

This week, I was inspired by a recent purchase to talk about how to find and buy designer labels at a discount. These points may be very obvious to some, but I thought it could help those who aren’t in the know. I’m sure there are many people who believe designer labels are unattainable and that’s so untrue! There are plenty of ways to afford your favorite high end brands without breaking the bank. Below are my tips for shopping luxury labels on a budget 🙂

The OUTNET

One of my favorite online retailers, The OUTNET is a great source for discount designer clothing and accessories. You can find your favorite designer’s past season pieces for up to 70 % off and new styles are added weekly. This dress I’m wearing from Alexander Wang retails for $325 and I copped it for 50% off at $162. It is slightly out of season but I thought it would be a cute to repurpose it with some sheer tights and tall boots for the winter time.

Resale Sites

Some of the coolest designer pieces are from resale and vintage sites like What Goes Around Comes Around, The Real Real, Poshmark and Depop. Most of what you’ll find is rare, which is better than having something that everyone else is wearing on Instagram. Just be aware that the items are pre-owned and there could be slight imperfections.

Sample Sales

NYC is known for having sample sales from hundreds of amazing designers. If you don’t live here I would definitely recommend making a trip just to shop. You can sign up for emails from 260SampleSale.com to stay up to date on upcoming sales events. The site will give you info on prices and what items to expect to be available. I believe there are also sample sales in LA for you West Coast girls.
